My works explore the experience and memorization that based on differences of the environment that I was born and I grew up.
I am a Russian living in Japan. In my childhood, I wanted to be a Japanese girl like my friends, tryed all makeup and fashion, and how to talk and gesture, all that I had learned from my friends. I made every effort to avoid as much as possible being a foreigner. I did not just try to speak Russian.
I am matriculated in Kyoto University of Art and Design in 2010. I looked for my identity that I was inspired by the art. And that time, I began to understand step by step that I am a Russian living in Japan. That is my identity.
In 2011, I had a big shock when the East Japan earthquake occurred. I dropped out of University at the same time. I moved to Moscow, Russia in September to study at Moscow State University. It attracted me by art scenes in there, and moved me to like arts more. About that time, many reconstructions, large amount of newly created buildings affected me. It contrasted to my childhood memories and all that new landscapes influenced me very much.
I returned to Kyoto University of Art and Design, in 2012 and started to absorb everything. And I graduated in 2015.
After that, I started to be an artist.
